The Swedish Industrial and Chemical Employers Association
The Swedish Industrial and Chemical Employers Association (Industri- och KemiGruppen) is a employer organisation with the focus on industrial companies. We specialise in employers' issues and support our member companies in questions that concern the relationship between employer and employees.
The Swedish Industrial and Chemical Employers Association has 1,240 member companies with about 70,000 employees. Its members are industrial companies in industries such as plastics, rubber, paints, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, explosives, glass, chemicals, oil refineries, metal, sugar, leather, stone, laundries and recycling.
We negotiate on pay and general conditions for collective agreements for our member companies. We also offer ongoing advice on laws and agreements as well as investigative and development work. We help member companies with negotiations, and with legal assistance in court proceedings, as well as organising courses and conferences. Our work is designed to make life easier for the companies, so that they can concentrate on their core activities.
The Swedish Industrial and Chemical Employers Association is a member of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. We work closely with other organisations in industry on general issues concerning employers.
Our organisation
The Swedish Industrial and Chemical Employers Association is a non-profit association, but we normally use the terms employer association or employer organisation in our day to day work.
The board is elected at the annual general meeting. CEO of the Association is Jonas Hagelqvist, appointed by the board in 2011.
Our member companies represent eleven different industries, most of which have an industry committee working on industry specific issues. Each committee is elected by a general meeting for the specific industry.
